FIP's aim is to ensure access to high quality foot and ankle care for all people, through collaboration with national and international organisations.

The Federation was founded in 1947 and consists of 24 podiatry organisations and individuals from 23 countries on 6 continents from around the world.

It provides the focus for the global leadership and development of podiatric medicine, and for the enhancement of the image and status of the podiatrist as the health professional of first choice for foot and ankle care.
The NWPF is a nonprofit organization established in 1979 and dedicated to the advancement of Podiatric research, education and development of new and useful techniques in reconstructive foot and ankle surgery.

We host several scientific seminars annually to raise funds for continuing education, research and development, grants for scientific publication and support of the Northwest Podiatric Residency Training Program and the NW Podiatric Surgical Biomechanics Research Laboratory in Seattle, Washington.
